John Barnshaw

John Barnshaw currently serves as the Managing Director at STRATA9 and Senior Leader of Research and Policy at College Promise, overseeing initiatives related to Promise programs. With extensive experience in higher education, John has held prestigious roles such as Vice President at Lightcast and Ad Astra, where significant contributions were made to educational insights and curriculum design impacting millions of learners. Previous positions include Director of Research and Public Policy at the American Association of University Professors and Director of Higher Education Consortia at the University of Delaware. John holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Delaware and both a B.A. and M.A. in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
