Michelle Kuchera

Michelle Kuchera is an Associate Professor of Physics and Computer Science at Davidson College since August 2016. Previously, Michelle served as a Research Associate at Michigan State University from May 2014 to July 2016, focusing on nuclear physics and developing machine learning algorithms for data analysis at the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory. Prior teaching experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant at Florida State University from April 2004 to April 2014, covering a range of subjects including web design and scientific programming. Michelle has held research positions at Yale University, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and participated in an REU funded by the National Science Foundation. Michelle earned a Ph.D. in Computational Science - Physics from Florida State University in 2014, following an MS in Physics in 2009 and a BS in Physics in 2007, all from Florida State University.
