Engineering - System Safety at Davidson Technologies, Inc.

Greg Lain has extensive work experience in the field of engineering and system safety. Greg started their career in 1984 as an Industrial Hygienist, where they performed duties related to hazardous material and waste management, as well as safety training for the Peacekeeper Missile Program at VAFB. Greg also developed a material safety data sheet management program and conducted audiograms and noise program training.

Greg then worked as a Senior Environment Health Safety Engineer from 1987 to 1994, where they were responsible for the development and implementation of hazardous material management and industrial hygiene programs. Greg also conducted safety training courses and developed employee and community right to know programs.

In 1994, Greg became the System Safety Engineering Manager at Lockheed Martin, overseeing the safety requirements of various programs. Greg later served as the Multifunctional Senior Manager for Environmental Safety and Health, where they provided overall management of the Safety and Health Department and ensured the integration of health and safety requirements in the NASA Space Transportation System External Tank and Orion Program.

From 2012 to 2020, Greg worked at Textron as a Principle System Safety Engineer, focusing on the development and implementation of safety programs for the Navy Ship to Shore Connector (SSC). Greg was also responsible for test failure reporting and contract data deliverables.

Currently, Greg is working at Davidson Technologies Inc. as an Engineering - System Safety representative for Boeing HSV at the Michoud Assembly Facility. In this role, they perform hazard assessments and reviews production hardware operations to ensure compliance with system safety requirements.

From 1980 to 1984, Greg Lain attended the University of Dubuque and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health Management.
