Kelly McDougald

Kelly McDougald has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Kelly began their career as a Customer Service Assistant at Hyroglifex International from 2009 to 2013. From 2011 to 2012, they served as the Manager and Events Coordinator at Western Lachine Recreation Center (WLRC). Kelly then joined Valesco Pharmaceuticals Inc. as Quality Control and Production Associate from 2012 to 2014. In 2014, they worked as a Freelance Copyeditor at Matteo Ventura Graphic Design.

In the same year, Kelly joined DAVIDsTEA, where they held various roles over the years. Kelly started as a Communications Coordinator from 2014 to 2015, responsible for internal communications, newsletter editing, copywriting, and design. Kelly then advanced to become a Corporate Communications Specialist from 2015 to 2016, overseeing external corporate communications, media inquiries, executive speaking engagements, and press releases.

From 2016 to 2018, Kelly served as the Corporate Communications Manager at DAVIDsTEA. In this role, they developed and implemented internal communications strategies, managed the corporate intranet, and led initiatives to enhance employee engagement and corporate culture.

Kelly's next role at DAVIDsTEA was as the Senior Brand Communications & PR Manager from 2018 to 2020, followed by their most recent position as the Director of Brand Communications & Impact since December 2020. In these roles, they have been responsible for brand communications, PR management, and directing impactful strategies for the company's brand.

Throughout their career, Kelly has demonstrated their expertise in internal and external communications, corporate culture development, media relations, and project management.

Kelly McDougald completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a specialization in English Literature at Concordia University from 2009 to 2012. Subsequently, they pursued a Graduate Diploma in Public Relations & Communications Management at McGill University from 2013 to 2014.
