Maria Italiano Lofthouse

Maria Italiano Lofthouse is an experienced anaesthesia clinician currently working at Davies Veterinary Specialists since January 2021. Previously, Maria held various positions including a veterinary anaesthesia locum from April 2020 to January 2021, and a post-residency fellowship in anaesthesia at North West Veterinary Specialists from October 2019 to March 2020. Maria has an extensive background in veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia, having completed a residency at the Animal Health Trust from February 2015 to September 2019, where also worked as an intern. Early career experiences include roles as a locum vet at YourVets and as a postgraduate student at Clinica Veterinaria San Siro. Maria's academic journey began with a Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, completed in 2013, and an enriching internship experience in veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia. Currently preparing for the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia exam, Maria values flexibility in work arrangements to facilitate ongoing professional development.
