David Butz has ten years of professional experience in software engineering. David began their career in 2003 as a Software Developer at Pacific Science & Engineering. In 2005, they joined Davis Demographics as a Senior GIS Software Engineer.

David Butz obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from San Diego State University between 1997 and 2004. David has also obtained several certifications from Esri, including the ArcGIS Developer Foundation 2201, ArcGIS Pro Foundation 2101, GIS Fundamentals Foundation 2201, and ArcGIS Desktop Entry, which they obtained in September 2022, September 2022, September 2022, and October 2020, respectively.
