Lead Propulsion Engineer at Dawn Aerospace

Ralph Huijsman has a strong background in aerospace engineering with a focus on propulsion. Ralph currently works at Dawn Aerospace as the Lead Propulsion Engineer, where they manage a team of 9 people and is responsible for the development of the HTP/Kerosene rocket engine for the Mk-II Aurora spaceplane. Prior to their current position, they held various roles at Delft Aerospace Rocket Engineering, including serving on the Supervisory Board and the Financial Committee. Ralph also played a key role in the propulsion team for the Stratos II and Stratos III projects, where they designed parts of the propulsion systems and conducted engine tests. Ralph has also gained experience through internships at Aerospace Propulsion Products and CIRA. Ralph has a proven track record of successfully contributing to the development and testing of rocket engines and has demonstrated strong leadership and technical skills in their roles.

Ralph Huijsman's education history begins with their attendance at Corderius College Amersfoort from 2003 to 2009, where they completed their VWO Atheneum. Following this, they pursued their bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering at Delft University of Technology from 2009 to 2013. Ralph continued their education at the same university, specializing in Aerospace Engineering, and obtained their Master's degree in the same field from 2013 to 2018.
