Alison Devlin has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the field of diversity, inclusion, and consultancy. Alison started their career as a Service Development Manager at Language is Everything Ltd in 2017. Alison then worked as an Interim Diversity and Inclusion Lead at Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust, where they focused on updating employment policies, reviewing the organization's diversity strategy, and revitalizing the BME Staff Network. Alison also served as an Interim E&D Consultant at London North West University Health Care NHS Trust, where they wrote the trust's E&D Strategy, developed anti-bullying and harassment programs, and worked towards improving diversity and equality in recruitment.
In 2019, Alison worked as a Diversity and Inclusion Consultant at King's College London, providing guidance in the field of diversity and inclusion. Alison then held several positions at RNIB, including National Diversity & Inclusion Manager and Head of Accessibility, Diversity & Inclusion. Alison'sresponsibilities involved overseeing diversity, inclusion, and accessibility initiatives.
From 2017 to 2019, Alison pursued self-employment, offering consultancy services specializing in equality, diversity, and inclusion within the health sector. In 2023, Alison started their own vintage finds business called Alison's Vintage Finds. Alison Devlin's education history includes a range of qualifications spanning multiple years. Alison attended Buckinghamshire New University from 2000 to 2001 and obtained a CIPD Professional Qualification in Human Resources. In 1997, they studied at Thames Valley University and completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Management. From 1993 to 1996, they attended Oxford Brookes University and earned a BA(Hons) degree in Health Care Studies. In 1991, they studied at the West London Institute of Higher Education and obtained a Certificate in Health Education. In 1987, they enrolled at Cardiff Metropolitan University and received a Diploma in Podiatric Medicine. Finally, from 1984 to 1987, they attended King Edward VI Sixth Form College in Stourbridge, West Midlands, where they completed their A levels.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Alison Devlin obtained the Chartered Member certification from CIPD in November 2001.
