Day One
Laura D'Aluisio Coykendall, MA, LMHC, is a seasoned mental health clinician with extensive experience in trauma-informed therapy and expressive arts therapies. Currently serving as a fee-for-service clinician at Day One since November 2016, Laura specializes in providing play, art, and traditional verbal therapy to trauma victims and their families. Laura operates a private practice that focuses on children, adolescents, and families, addressing various behavioral health concerns, including anxieties, depression, and trauma. Previous roles include outpatient clinician at Family Service of Rhode Island and behavioral health clinician at Psychological Centers/ Trudeau Early Intervention Behavioral Health Program. Additionally, Laura has worked with adult clients experiencing psychiatric disabilities at NRI Community Services and as a milieu therapist on an eating disorder unit at Deaconess Waltham Hospital. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Temple University. Laura accepts United Health and Blue Cross, Blue Shield, PPO, and Neighborhood Health.
