Briar Darden

Briar Darden is an accomplished legal and business affairs professional with extensive experience in the entertainment industry. Currently serving as Vice President of Business Affairs at DC Comics since November 2015, Briar Darden leads the department responsible for negotiating and executing business contracts and partnerships in support of DC's publishing and media strategies. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Counsel at DC Comics, where responsibilities encompassed managing legal aspects of comic book content, and as Legal Counsel at Warner Bros. Entertainment Group, focusing on strategic acquisitions and joint ventures. Earlier in the career, Briar Darden worked as an attorney at O'Melveny & Myers LLP, advising clients on various legal issues in the entertainment sector, and as a Senior Relationship Manager at Bloomberg LP. Briar Darden holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Public Policy Studies from Duke University.
