Theresa Kemp

Theresa Kemp is a seasoned education professional with extensive experience in special education and compliance. Currently serving as a Senior Specialist on the Equity & Access Team at the DC Public Charter School Board since January 2020, Theresa focuses on addressing community complaints and ensuring charter school compliance. Prior to this role, Theresa directed student support at KIPP DC, overseeing special education services and managing compliance for educational programs. Additional experience includes serving as a Climate and Culture Coach at Hartford Public Schools and working as a Special Education Teacher and Administrator. Theresa holds a Sixth Year degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, a Master of Arts in Special Education, and a background in Communication Sciences from the University of Connecticut.
