Derek Phipps

Derek Phipps has extensive work experience in the field of audio engineering. Derek started their career in 2013 as a Technical Assistant/Consultant and Product Development & Fabrication at Event Show Productions. Their responsibilities included audio and lighting for awards ceremonies and theatrical productions, as well as designing and fabricating wireless LED suits and video mapping monitors. Derek also handled equipment transportation logistics and performed routine maintenance and repair tasks. Their custom projects involved using various technologies to create unique company and product branding.

In 2014, Derek established their own company, DRK Productions Inc, where they served as the owner.

Since then, Derek has worked as a freelance audio engineer for various companies. From 2016 to the present, they have worked with ADM Productions Inc. In 2017, they also collaborated with Freeman Company, LMG LLC, and DCE Productions. In the same year, Derek joined LMJ, LLC as a freelance audio engineer.

In 2018, they began working with GES - Global Experience Specialists as a freelance audio engineer, and in 2019, they started working with BAV in the same role.

Derek's most recent work experience is with AVmedia Inc, where they are currently employed as a freelance audio engineer since September 2021.

Derek Phipps pursued their education in 1996 at Full Sail University, where they completed an Associate's Degree in Audio Engineering. Their studies in this field lasted until 1997.
