Francis Ko

Francis Ko has extensive experience in manufacturing operations and leadership roles. Francis is currently serving as the Vice President of Manufacturing Operations at DCN Dx, where they are responsible for developing strategies aligned with organizational objectives and overseeing manufacturing capabilities. Prior to this, they held several positions at TriLink BioTechnologies, including Senior Director of GMP Operations and Director of GMP Manufacturing. In these roles, they demonstrated versatile leadership and implemented operational excellence programs that improved on-time delivery and reduced costs. Francis also worked as a Senior Manager of Manufacturing Operations and Services at SGI-DNA and as a Manager of Quality Control and Formulation Manufacturing at GenMark Diagnostics. Francis began their career at Prometheus as a Manager of Diagnostic Manufacturing and Quality Control and then served as a Validation Scientist and Technical Operations Supervisor at Focus Diagnostics. Additionally, Francis has research experience from their time as a Summer Research Affiliate in the Device Application Group at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Francis Ko completed their education with a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from UCLA, which they pursued from 2000 to 2005. Prior to that, they obtained their B.S.E. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, where they studied from 1996 to 2000.
