Helen V Hsieh

Helen V. Hsieh is a Senior Scientist at DCN Dx, with expertise in the research and development of point-of-care medical diagnostics since August 2020. Prior to this, Helen held the position of Senior Scientist at Intellectual Ventures Lab from April 2015 to July 2020, focusing on technologies for infectious disease diagnostics. There, Helen was responsible for designing experiments, developing assays, and training staff. As a Research Scientist, Helen contributed to the development of model serology systems for malaria diagnostics. Previously, from December 1993 to October 2014, Helen excelled at BD Technologies, where numerous patented diagnostic assays were invented. Helen began academic pursuits as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, resulting in a PhD in Chemistry. A Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry was earned at The Johns Hopkins University.
