Jonathan Tessler has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jonathan started their career as a Group Creative Director at Icon Nicholson, where they focused on digital advertising campaigns and e-commerce for clients such as H&R Block and L'Oreal. Jonathan then became the President and Creative Director of The Complex, a design agency specializing in digital and print media. During this time, they also worked on UX, IA, business analysis, content strategy, and magazine design.
Jonathan later joined BMW of North America, LLC as a Creative Director for BMW Owners News, where they oversaw editorial art direction for a monthly print and web magazine dedicated to BMW Motorcycles. Jonathan managed a team of designers and handled photo shoots, marketing, production, pre-press, and on-press activities.
Afterward, they served as the Digital Creative Director at CBS Local Digital Media, leading visual design and UI/UX strategy efforts for various features and products, including websites, apps, video, mobile, marketing, and print collateral. Jonathan managed a large team of staff designers and freelancers.
Jonathan then joined Advance Digital as the Sr. Director of UX and Design, where they led UX design and strategy efforts for various features and products such as sites, apps, video, mobile, and marketing. Jonathan managed a team of UX and UI designers.
In 2014, Jonathan became the Creative Director and UX/UI Lead at Scholastic, where they continued to oversee creative direction and lead UX/UI efforts.
Jonathan then joined E*TRADE as a Creative Director, where they worked from 2015 to 2016.
From 2017 to 2020, Jonathan worked as a freelance creative, taking on various senior design and creative roles for agencies, companies, and organizations in New York City, Los Angeles, CA, and Silicon Valley, CA. Jonathan'sclients included Apple Computer, DDB Health, Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness, and Porter-Novelli, among others.
In 2020, Jonathan joined Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness as an Associate Creative Director, where they served until 2022.
Currently, Jonathan is working as the VP, ACD-Digital at DDB Health, where they started in October 2022.
Jonathan Tessler has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Music Education from CUNY Baccalaureate for Unique and Interdisciplinary Studies. Prior to that, they obtained a High School Diploma from the High School of Music & Art. During high school, their field of study included Graphic Design, Art Studies, Advertising Design, Editorial Design, and Printmaking.
