Jimmy Kent

VP Technology Development at De Beers Group

Jimmy Kent has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Jimmy started their career as a Technical Trainee Engineer at Royal Air Force Signals Engineering Estabishemnt (RAFSEE) in 1995. After that, they worked as a Design Engineer at Royal Air Force Signal Engineering Establishment (RAFSEE) until 2000. In 2004, they joined Henkel AG & Co KGaA as a Sales Engineer and later took on the roles of Business Manager for EMEA and International Brand Manager. In 2014, they moved to Mecmesin Limited as a Technical Marketing Manager. Currently, they are working at The De Beers Group of Companies, where they started as the VP of Technology Innovation in 2015 and is currently serving as the VP of Technology Development.

Jimmy Kent earned a HND in Mechanical Engineering from Nottingham Trent University from 1994 to 1997. Jimmy then pursued a B.Eng (Hons) in Aerospace Engineering at Kingston University from 2000 to 2002. Later, they completed an M.Sc in Aerospace Propulsion at Cranfield University from 2002 to 2003. Additionally, in 2011, they attended the Cranfield School of Management for the International BASICS Management Program, specializing in Management.
