Ryan Perry

Ryan Perry has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Ryan started at the De Beers Group in 2002 as a Graduate Engineering Trainee and progressed through various roles including General Engineering Supervisor, Section Engineer, and Asset Care Manager. Ryan also served as the Executive Technical Assistant to the group CEO, overseeing strategic projects and global market development. In 2013, they became the Operations Manager, leading marine operations and providing shore-based support in Namibia. Ryan then held roles as Group Lead for Techno-economics and risk, Head of Supply/Asset portfolio Strategy, and Head of Transformation Office. Currently, at De Beers Group, they are the Acting EVP for Strategy and Innovation, responsible for complex stakeholder engagements and driving industry-level impact. Outside of De Beers, Ryan holds positions as Chairperson of the Board at Tracr and is a Board Member at Lightbox Jewelry.

Ryan Perry holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Henley Business School attained between 2015 and 2017. Ryan also has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSc Eng) from the University of Cape Town earned from 2002 to 2005. Ryan has obtained additional certifications such as a Government Certificate of Competency in Factories from the Department of Labour in 2011 and a Certificate in PC Engineering from Varsity College in 2001.
