Katerina Sofianou

Katerina Sofianou is an experienced academic and editor specializing in Ancient Near East & Egypt and Jewish Studies. Currently serving as an Associate Editor at Brill since December 2021, Katerina has also held the roles of Associate Editor and Publishing Assistant. Previous experience includes a Field Archaeologist Intern position at the University of the Aegean, participating in the excavation of Kimissala, and an Archaeologist Intern role at The National Archaeological Museum of Athens. Katerina's educational background includes a Master's degree in Egyptology from Leiden University and a Bachelor's degree in Classical, Ancient Mediterranean and Near Eastern Studies and Archaeology from the University of the Aegean.
