Michael Peck has worked in a variety of roles in the finance and marketing industries since 2007. Their work experience began in 2007 with an internship at Shmaltz Brewing Company as a "Chosen" Intern and at Voicebox Creative as a Marketing Intern. In 2008, they worked as a Cellar Intern at Silverado Vineyards, where they gained experience in all aspects of wine production. In 2009, they worked as a Marketing Coordinator at Don Sebastiani & Sons, where they supported regional market surveys and sales blitzes, ran blind wine quality tests, wrote copy for marketing materials, and tracked and analyzed in-store promotions. From 2011 to 2014, they worked at Pabst Brewing Company in various roles, including Commercial Brand Manager and Brand Manager, Innovation. From 2014 to 2015, they were a Sales Planning Analyst Intern at Sony Computer Entertainment America. From 2015 to 2018, they worked at Health-Ade as a Senior Financial Analyst, Finance Manager, and Director of Finance. Michael was named 2020 Employee of the Year. Currently, they are the Finance Director at De La Calle.

Michael Peck received their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the UCLA Anderson School of Management in 2015, where they studied Strategy. Michael obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from William & Mary in 2008, majoring in Marketing. Michael attended Menlo-Atherton High School from 2000-2004. Additionally, Peck has obtained certifications in Spanish (39% fluent) from Duolingo (2017), WSET Level 3 - Advanced Certificate in Wine from Wine & Spirit Education Trust (2017), Certified Cicerone from Cicerone.org (2012), and BJCP National-Rank Judge from the Beer Judge Certification Program (2009).
