Andreas Zemelka

Andreas Zemelka is a seasoned professional in project management and engineering, currently serving as Contract Manager at De Smet Engineers & Contractors since July 2023, focusing on the construction of an Ethyl Acetate Plant. Previously, Andreas held the position of Chief Technical Officer at econnext, where advisory services were provided in business development and project management. Prior roles include Director of Fossil Power Plants at ACWA Power, overseeing the technical development of an IPP coal-fired power project, and Director of the Power Plant Division at Lohrmann International, leading business development activities. Earlier in the career, Andreas served as Department Head of Project Execution at ILF Consulting Engineers, Project Manager at Lahmeyer International, and Project Manager at Babcock Borsig Power. Andreas holds an Engineer’s Degree in Mechanical and Power Engineering from The Silesian University of Technology.
