Sébastien Schellen

Sébastien Schellen serves as Vice-President of Energy Efficiency and Sustainability at De Smet Engineers & Contractors (DSEC) since August 2010, where experience includes extensive project management and international coordination across diverse sectors such as agro-industry and energy efficiency. Key contributions involve leading an EPCM contract for an inulin factory in Chile, overseeing engineering efforts across multiple countries, and implementing a five-year investment plan aimed at reducing primary energy consumption. Prior to this role, Sébastien held various positions, including Technical Manager and Process Engineer, focusing on the development of innovative processes and project management for sugar and bioproduct facilities. Sébastien earned a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Université catholique de Louvain and completed a PhD related to environmental impacts at the same institution.
