Cathy Murphy has a diverse and extensive work experience. Cathy began their career at St. Mary's Medical Center in 1997, where they served as the Director of Cardiovascular/Critical Care Services for ten years. In 2007, they transitioned to the role of Director of Outpatient Ventures at the same organization until 2013. Following this, they joined Deaconess Health System in 2014 as Administrator of Joint Venture Practices for Neurosurgery/Vascular, where they led partnerships with physician practices to improve community health outcomes. Currently, they are the Director of Patient Services and Chief Nursing Officer at Deaconess Hospital Inc., a position they have held since 2016.
Cathy Murphy earned their Associate of Science (AS) degree in Nursing Science from Vincennes University between 1978 and 1980. Cathy then went on to attend the University of Southern Indiana from 1990 to 1992, where they obtained a Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing Science. Later, from 2010 to 2012, they attended the University of Phoenix to pursue a Master's degree in Nursing and Health Care Administration.
