Verda Ak

Verda Ak has over 20 years of experience in the business world. Verda began their career in 1998 as an Account Manager for Juno Systems, where they developed and maintained effective working relationships with clients and conducted extensive senior level executive searches. In 2002, they became an International Account Manager for BGS D'Arcy (currently Leo Burnett) where they led local advertising activities for Fiat vehicles in various European markets. In 2005, they became the Owner and Head of Marketing and New Business Development for Akusta hifi. In 2013, they were the Director of New Business Development for Bardabas, where they created a marketplace for their kids activity sets in Turkey. From 2015 to 2018, they were the Director of Project Coordination and Special Projects for Bilgili Holding, where they reported directly to the Chairman regarding all aspects of project management. Currently, they are the Head of Partnerships & Strategic Alliances for Debite, where they are responsible for directing international sales and marketing organization and overseeing a team of 30 employees.

Verda Ak attended The Koc Highschool from 1990 to 1994, after which they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sociology from Cornell University from 1994 to 1998. In 2000 and 2001, they completed a Master in International Economics and Management with a Marketing Focus from SDA Bocconi.
