Joan Ruiz de Bustillo Ohngemach

Joan Ruiz de Bustillo Ohngemach is a Co-Founder at Decaf since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Telefónica Germany as a Market Intelligence Engineer from January 2019 to March 2022, where they were responsible for planning, reporting, and go-to-market of AI-driven campaigns for customer acquisition. They also handled database maintenance and query optimization. Previously, Joan worked as a Junior Machine Learning Engineer at Telefónica from March 2018 to December 2018.

Joan Ruiz de Bustillo Ohngemach has an extensive education history in various fields. From 2012 to 2017, they attended Fachhochschule Südwestfalen and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. In 2012, they also attended fedaEDU German Business School, where they completed a Formation Profesional in Business Management.

Continuing their education, from 2015 to 2019, Joan studied at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and earned a Grado en Ingeniería degree in Telecommunication Networks. During this time, they also obtained a Language Competence Certification Test in German, with a C2 proficiency level, from the same institution in Barcelona.

Joan further expanded their knowledge by pursuing a Master of Science degree in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of London from 2020 to 2022.

In addition to their formal degrees, Joan has acquired various certifications. They obtained a Foundations for Big Data Analysis with SQL certification from Cloudera in December 2019. In June 2015, they received a Certificate of Proficiency in English, with a Grade B, from Cambridge English Language Assessment. In June 2012, they obtained an Advanced Certificate in Business Spanish from Cámara de Comercio de Madrid. Furthermore, in January 2014, Joan earned a Cambridge Vantage Certificate in Business English, with a Grade B, from Cambridge English Language Assessment.
