Samantha Phebus

Samantha Phebus, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning over 13 years. Starting in 2007, they worked as an Assistant to an Accountant at Leading Edge Enterprises, where they organized documents and handled data entry for payroll and customer billings. Samantha then joined Dansig in 2008 as an Agency Accountant, managing two assistants and reporting to the Owner/CEO and executive team of an insurance agency. At Architectural Expressions, LLP, Samantha served as an Accountant & HR Coordinator from 2013 to 2018, handling financial statements, payroll, employee benefits coordination, and tax submissions for a partnership firm. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as an Accounting Supervisor at Archer Daniels Midland Company. Their most recent role is as the Chief Financial Officer at Decatur Family YMCA, where they oversee finance/accounting, human resources, child care administration, IT, and business office functions. Samantha successfully led the development of operating plans and financial budgets during challenging times caused by the pandemic and identified funding sources to sustain the organization.

Samantha Phebus, MBA, obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Accounting from Eastern Illinois University in 2007. Samantha later pursued a Masters of Business Administration from Millikin University, completing their degree in 2012. Prior to their higher education, Samantha earned their High School Diploma from Mt. Zion High School in 2003.
