Merry Lanker has extensive experience in education and coaching, currently serving as a Middle School Art Educator and Cross Country Coach at Decatur Public Schools since August 2012. Additionally, Merry teaches approximately 900 students at three elementary schools in the Decatur School District and facilitates team-challenge activities at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Previous roles include a Sales Associate at Macy's and a Life Skills Therapist at NeoroRestorative, among others. Merry holds a Master’s Degree in Art Education from Eastern Illinois University and two Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in Art Education from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
