Rien Siaens

Rien Siaens is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and veterinary sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Manufacturing Science & Technology at Dechra since January 2019, Rien leads the development of a new team focused on new product introductions and technology transfers of parenteral veterinary pharmaceuticals. Prior to this role, Rien held several positions at Pfizer from 2007 to 2019, including Manager of Process Development, where expertise was provided in aseptic manufacturing and tech transfers. Other notable roles include Production Supervisor for the Clinical Phase III pilot facility and Project Engineer for quality control initiatives. Earlier experience includes roles at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies and Ghent University that focused on quality assurance and system compliance. Rien earned a Doctorate in Pharmaceutical Science from Ghent University in 2005.
