Leah Makley

Advisor at Deciduous Therapeutics

Leah Makley is the current Advisor at Deciduous Therapeutics. Leah has over fifteen years of experience in the field of research and development. Leah Makley has a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from the University of Cincinnati.

Makley began their career as a Research Assistant at the Air Force Research Laboratory, where they assisted with human subjects research and investigated the effectiveness of multisensory cuing in improving unmanned air vehicle operator performance. Leah also served as an associate investigator for a Barany chair study testing the effects of 3D audio and tactile cuing on proprioception.

In July 2014, Makley joined ViewPoint Therapeutics as their President and Chief Scientific Officer. During their time at ViewPoint Therapeutics, they were responsible for leading the company's scientific and technical strategy, as well as overseeing all preclinical and clinical research and development activities. In September 2017, Makley left ViewPoint Therapeutics to join Deciduous Therapeutics as their Chief Operating Officer.

Leah Makley holds a Ph.D in medicinal chemistry from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in biochemistry from the University of Dayton.

They work with Janice Lansita - Toxicology Lead, Anil Bhushan - Scientific Founder, and Scott Armstrong - VP of Research. Leah Makley reports to Robin Mansukhani, CEO & Co-Founder.
