Dr. Alison Denton has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various roles and industries. Dr. Alison started their professional career at Illinois Institute of Technology, where they served as the Assistant Dean of Special Projects at Galvin Library, the Director of the GIS Lab and Resource Center, and the Webmaster of the Galvin Library. During their tenure, they managed university projects, developed and directed the GIS Laboratory and Resource Center, and implemented new electronic information resources.

Following their time at Illinois Institute of Technology, Dr. Denton worked at Arlington Public Schools as the Director of Facilities Planning and Facilities Planner.
