We are looking for a DevOps Engineer. This role is based in our Markham, Ontario offices conveniently located near Highways 404 and 407. We are focused on team participation and commit to working a Full-Time schedule in our Markham office.

Who We Need:

A DevOps Engineer is responsible for working on implementation projects as well as developing the overall technical capability of the development team. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Participates in project planning sessions with clients, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements.

  • Develop an understanding of the client’s business and technology requirements.

  • Identifies and documents key integration points with internal and external systems as well as required customizations.

  • Documents technical design components related to solution integration and customizations.

  • Leads application development operations efforts.

  • Acts as a liaison between the client/project team and the off-shore development team.

  • Assures the quality of code developed by other developers on the team.

  • Communicates effectively to all stakeholders.

  • Accurately tracks time by hours and project billing codes in Company project tracking software.

  • Participates in other Company initiatives and duties as required.

What You’ll Need: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR equivalent practical experience.

  • At least 5+ years of experience in the relevant field.

  • In addition to knowledge of Oracle Solutions such as OSFLL, to perform this job successfully an individual must have a strong understanding of and experience with the following technologies:

  • Manage and maintain SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Database, and MongoDB systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.

  • Provide expertise in Java/J2EE frameworks, with a focus on Oracle ADF Framework, UI, task flows, integration with web services and APIs, security, templates, and deployments.

  • Administer WebLogic 10.3 and higher, ensuring the smooth operation of applications deployed on the platform.

  • Work with RedHat/Oracle-based Linux distributions, implementing best practices for system configuration, security, and performance.

  • Apply standard DevOps principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to enhance the overall software development lifecycle.

  • Utilize Jenkins, GitHub, GIT, Docker, CI/CD, and Azure DevOps tools to automate and streamline the build, test, deployment, and software deployment processes.

  • Demonstrate expertise in Kubernetes and application deployment, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and resolve issues, and continuously improve the development, deployment, and software deployment pipelines.
