Shay Hopkins

Shay Hopkins holds a PhD in English Language and Literature from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where also an M.A. was earned. With extensive experience in communication and writing, Shay currently serves as Sr. Manager of Global DTC Communications and Training at Deckers Brands since March 2019, having previously held the role of Global DTC Communications Manager. As a freelance writer and editor since September 2015, Shay has contributed to various projects. Prior experience includes working as a Technical Writer for Procore Technologies, a Writing Instructor, and Alumni Outreach Coordinator at UC Santa Barbara, and a Writing Center Tutor at Santa Barbara City College. Additionally, Shay worked as a Contributing XML Writer and Editor for the Archive of Early Middle English and served as an English TA at UC Santa Barbara.
