Juan Roa Mejía has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Juan started their career as an Auxiliar de Servicios Generales II at Intricon S.A., where they worked on a project for the Adecuación del Sistema Contra Incendio Terminal Coveñas Ecopetrol S.A. Juan was responsible for managing inventory and materials for the project.

Juan then moved on to Packing S.A., where they worked as an Ingeniero de Mantenimiento from 2005 to 2013. In this role, they coordinated and scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance for the installed equipment in the plant. Juan also served as the leader of the Environmental Management System for the company.

After that, Juan joined Manufacturas Eliot as an Ingeniero de Mantenimiento Mecánico. Their responsibilities included coordinating and scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance for the mechanical and electrical areas of the Special Finishes department. Juan also implemented the annual preventive maintenance schedule for the machines in the department.

Next, Juan worked at Protisa Colombia S.A. as the Jefe de Mantenimiento. Their main tasks involved implementing and executing the maintenance strategy to reduce equipment downtime in the production lines. Juan also coordinated and scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance, both mechanical and electrical, with their team. Additionally, Juan determined the stock in the warehouse of critical spare parts for the production line equipment.

Juan then joined Drycol S.A.S as the Director de Planeación. In this role, they were responsible for planning production and material requirements according to the company's logistics plans and human resources. Juan designed and directed production and procurement plans and determined the volumes of raw material and finished products to meet sales schedules and customer demands.

Later, Juan worked at Kimberly-Clark as an Ingeniero de Mantenimiento. Juan planned and scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance with their team and controlled the budget for the department. Juan was also responsible for executing, maintaining, and improving the maintenance strategy to reduce equipment failure frequency in the production lines.

Currently, Juan is working at Decowraps as the Maintenance Chief. In this role, they are responsible for coordinating and scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance for the equipment in the plant. Juan is also tasked with structuring the company's maintenance department and planning capex and opex for the production line equipment.

Throughout their career, Juan has demonstrated expertise in maintenance planning and execution, coordination of preventive and corrective maintenance, stock management, and overall strategic management of maintenance departments.

Juan Roa Mejía attended Universidad Santo Tomás Colombia from 1995 to 2002, where they earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Their field of study was specifically in Mechanical Engineering.
