Achim Woerner

Achim Woerner is the current director at Dedrone. Prior to Dedrone, Woerner was with Kiwigrid GmbH, SOLARWATT Germany, Heliatek, DELTON Technology SE, and Voith Hydro. From March 2013 to September 2014, Woerner was a member of the Voith Hydro supervisory board. From August 2009 to March 2019, Woerner was the global head of Siemens Leadership Excellence. There, they focused on Siemens leadership transformation strategy and the Siemens leadership development landscape. Achim also developed new general and top management leadership courses. From October 2004 to July 2009, Woerner was an associate principal at McKinsey & Company where they headed several project teams and large transformation programs in the High Tech and Telecom industries with focus on strategy, innovation, digitalization and operations in Germany and Europe. Achim was also a member of leadership team of the Global Business Technology Office (IT/Digital practice) and a member of the Global Recruiting Team. From January 2002 to September 2004, Woerner was a principal at Atlas Venture. Lastly, from March 2000 to January 2002, Woerner was an investment partner at Infineon Ventures.

Achim Woerner received their Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich and their schooling from the Schottengymnasium.
