Mel Lentz

Mel Lentz, CPP, is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in tax operations and payroll compliance. Currently serving as a Senior Tax Operations Specialist at Deel since December 2024, Mel previously held the role of Payroll Compliance Lead at Salsa from September 2022 to December 2024. Significant contributions at Gusto from August 2015 to September 2022 include leading the buildout of the Payroll Operations Audit team, implementing performance metrics, and enhancing audit processes. Mel also played a pivotal role in scaling the Tax Resolution team and improving workflows. Prior experience includes serving as the Director of Customer Experience at FluentStream Technologies, where Mel successfully increased the NPS score and optimized operational efficiencies. Mel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Colorado State University.
