David Carter

David Carter has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. David most recently served as the CEO of Deep Planet, a company focused on revolutionizing the wine industry with AI technology. In this role, they led the team in delivering predictive viticulture insights using satellite imagery and proprietary data sources.

Prior to their role at Deep Planet, David worked at Brightidea, Inc as the VP Finance + People. David was responsible for financial management, including board reporting, financial statements, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting. David also handled talent acquisition and performance management for the company.

Before Brightidea, Inc, David served as the COO/CFO of Synamed HeartveinNYC Group, where they oversaw the operations and strategy of a SaaS-based healthcare IT company. David also worked as the General Manager - US at Ontracks Consulting Ltd., where they successfully founded the US business and built a team of 15. David played multiple roles, including sales, marketing, solution architect, and project manager for large-scale projects.

David's early career includes working at Matrikon, a software company, in various roles, including Head of Asset Management Business Unit. David also gained experience at KPMG, where they progressed from a cadet to a Senior Audit and IT Risk Advisory, performing audit and advisory services for clients across different industries.

Throughout their career, David has achieved notable accomplishments, such as improving board and executive team reporting at Brightidea, Inc and founding the US business at Ontracks Consulting Ltd. David has a strong background in finance, operations, and strategic planning, making him a valuable asset in various industries.

David Carter has a diverse education history. David started from 2000 to 2005 at the University of Newcastle, where they pursued a double degree in Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Information Science. In 2004, they also obtained a Foundations Certified certification from Exin in ITIL. Moving forward, in 2004 to 2005, David attended the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia to become a Chartered Accountant. Lastly, in 2016 to 2017, David enrolled in Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, completing their Executive Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in the field of Business.
