John McDowell

John McDowell is currently the Research Lead in Ocean Engineering at DEEP, an organization focused on developing new technologies to enhance understanding and preservation of deep water environments. With a background in marine renewable energy, John has also worked as a Site Assessment Engineer and Research Engineer at Sustainable Marine Energy. Prior to this, John held roles at various organizations such as University of Edinburgh, Ofgem, and debrand services inc. John's educational background includes a Master's Degree in Marine Renewable Energy from University of Plymouth and a Bachelor of Science in Oceans, Climate & Physical Geography from University of Liverpool.
