Diogo Ribeiro

Diogo Ribeiro has a diverse professional background in machine learning engineering, data protection, research, auditing, teaching, and software engineering. Diogo is currently working at Deeper Insights as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, where they mentor and trains junior team members, develops and implements machine learning models, and communicates technical concepts to stakeholders. Prior to this, Diogo served as a Data Protection Officer at Deeper Insights, leading projects related to permission schemas, data protection practices, and information security management system implementation. Diogo was also responsible for achieving ISO27001 certification for the company. Before joining Deeper Insights, Diogo worked as a Machine Learning Researcher at Centro Algoritmi & Bosch Car Multimedia S.A., Portugal, where they developed predictive anomaly detection models in manufacturing environments. Diogo also has experience as a Co-Auditor ISO27001:2013 at DQS Portugal, advising companies on enhancing their data security and ensuring ISO standard adherence. Diogo has also worked as an Invited Assistant Professor at Instituto Polit\xc3\xa9cnico do C\xc3\xa1vado e do Ave, teaching courses related to their expertise. Earlier in their career, Diogo worked as a Test Systems Engineer at Bosch and as a Software Engineer at AmbITouch.

Diogo Ribeiro has a diverse educational background. Diogo first pursued a Master's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Universidade do Minho, completing their studies in 2013. In the same year, they also obtained a certification as a Superior Technician on Health and Safety at Work from Conde Trigo LDA.

In 2012, Diogo Ribeiro completed the Initial Pedagogical Trainer Training - CAP, Pedagogy program at Anysolutions, enhancing their skills in teaching.

Later, in 2017, they enrolled in Universidade do Minho again, this time to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Advanced Engineering Systems for Industry.

Throughout their career, Diogo Ribeiro has continued to enhance their professional skills by obtaining various certifications. Diogo received the CAP (Certificate of Teaching Ability) from IEFP in 2012, demonstrating their proficiency in teaching. Furthermore, they obtained certifications in information security management, service management systems, and ISO standards from DQS Inc., DQS Portugal, and DQS I respectively, showcasing their expertise in these areas. In 2022, they obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services, highlighting their knowledge in cloud computing.
