Michael Pflueger

Michael Pflueger has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Their most recent position was as a Full Stack Software Engineer at Gumband, where they started in April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Junior Full-Stack Developer at the same company from March 2022 to April 2023.

Before joining Gumband, Michael worked at Greenphire as a Technical Analyst II from January 2022 to April 2022. In this role, they supported tickets, performed hands-on coding using Python and Django, and worked with various tools such as Angular 8, JIRA, Confluence, Github, Jenkins, and Docker. Michael also collaborated with Operations/Support teams and wrote custom scripts to support customer implementations. Michael was involved in identifying and addressing defects and enhancements in Greenphire applications, creating services for internal business users, and maintaining applications with Health Care data falling under HIPAA Protected Health Information (PHI). Previously, they worked as a Technical Analyst at Greenphire from August 2019 to January 2022.

Prior to their work in the software industry, Michael was a High School Mathematics Teacher at The U School from September 2016 to June 2019. In this role, they designed project-based high school mathematics unit plans, collaborated with tech specialists to build a learning management system, and led projects supporting students in creating digital education content.

Michael also worked as an REU Program Evaluator at the University of Pennsylvania from May 2016 to January 2017, a Research Intern at the 21st Century Partnership for STEM education from September 2015 to May 2016, a Teacher of High School Math at The Covenant School from January 2015 to June 2015, and a Fulbright Scholar at the U.S. Department of State from January 2014 to October 2014.

Michael's early work experience includes serving as a Retention Advisor at Villanova University from September 2011 to May 2013.

Michael Pflueger has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematics and Education from Gwynedd Mercy University. Michael also holds an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Liberal Studies from Montgomery County Community College.

In addition to their degrees, Michael Pflueger has obtained certifications in Programming Foundations: Object-Oriented Design from LinkedIn and Python Beyond the Basics - Object-Oriented Programming from Udemy. Michael is currently pursuing the Django 4 and Python Full-Stack Developer Masterclass certification from Udemy.

Michael Pflueger furthered their education by earning a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Learning Sciences and Technologies from the University of Pennsylvania. Michael also completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Mathematics from Villanova University.
