Ben Patz has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Ben is currently a Board Member at Cogent Bank, where they provide advisory expertise for the bank's commercial and retail services. Prior to this, Ben served on the Board of Directors at the University of Central Florida Research Foundation, focused on enhancing research support solutions.
In 2015, Ben became the Managing General Partner at DeepWork Capital, an early-stage venture capital fund that invests in technology and life science companies in Florida. Ben actively assists portfolio companies in reaching significant milestones.
Before joining DeepWork Capital, Ben held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Presidio, where they oversaw the company's largest operating region. Prior to that, they co-founded Coleman Technologies in 1995, which later merged with Presidio.
Ben's career began at Coleman Research Corporation in 1986, where they managed advanced programs related to kinetic energy weapon design, analysis, and test support. Ben also served as principal investigator on Small Business Innovative Research grants focusing on control systems utilizing Fuzzy Logic and Neural Networks.
Throughout their career, Ben Patz has demonstrated expertise in banking, research support, venture capital, and operational management.
Ben Patz completed their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where they studied from 1979 to 1983. Ben then pursued a Master's Degree in the same field at the University of Central Florida from 1984 to 1985.
