Jeffrey Wheatman

Jeffrey Wheatman is an experienced cybersecurity professional currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Cyber Risk Strategist at Black Kite, where responsibilities include linking cyber threat intelligence with business assets to assess and mitigate third-party risk. As a Senior Volunteer Speaker Goon at DEF CON since 2007, Jeffrey manages logistics for one of the largest security conferences worldwide. Additionally, as a Cybersecurity Mentor at Cyversity, guidance is provided to individuals seeking career opportunities in the field. In 2024, Jeffrey began advising the CEO and executive team at HACKERverse® on strategic matters. Previously, Jeffrey held significant leadership roles, including Vice President of Research & Advisory at Gartner, Practice Manager at Gotham Technology Group, Principal Consultant at ThruPoint, and Co-founder/Chief Security Officer at Bruteforce Security. Jeffrey holds an MBA from Zicklin School of Business and a BA in Economics from Queens College, along with recent certifications in third-party risk management and corporate governance.
