Daniel Benjamin currently serves as Colonel Commandant du Génie Militaire Canadien with the Canadian Armed Forces since April 2021. With a distinguished career spanning 42 years, Daniel Benjamin retired from military service as a Major General (Retired) in July 2018. Additionally, Daniel Benjamin holds the position of VP Operations at Defence Construction Canada since September 2011 and previously held roles such as Chief Military Engineer and Commander of Canadian Operational Support Command in the Canadian Forces from 1976 to 2011. Daniel Benjamin earned a Master in Engineering, specializing in Civil – Geotechnic, from RMC during 1986-1988 and a Bachelor in Engineering, specializing in Civil Engineering, from RMC from 1977 to 1981. Further education includes attendance at the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth.
