David Chinn

David Chinn is a seasoned Programme Manager currently serving as the Deputy Head of the Future Capabilities Group at Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) since August 2018. Previously, David held key positions at the European Defence Agency from September 2012 to August 2017, including R&T Coordinator and Head of Unit Air, where notable achievements included leading the MIDCAS project, which realized a significant advancement in UAV technology. David's experience spans over two decades in various roles such as Project Manager for Tornado EW systems at the UK Ministry of Defence, software management for Eurofighter at NATO, and an Exchange Officer at Direction générale de l'armement. Educational qualifications include a BSc in Engineering Science from Durham University and multiple defense-related certifications from prestigious institutions such as the Institut des hautes études de défense nationale and NATO Defence College.
