Tom Knight is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Secretariat and Engagement Lead at Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) since June 2023. Prior to this role, Tom held various positions at the UK Ministry of Defence from January 2016 to June 2023, including Communications and Secretariat Manager, where the focus was on external, internal, and parliamentary communications related to Ship Acquisition projects for the Royal Navy and Royal Fleet Auxiliary. Tom also developed communications strategies for the National Shipbuilding Office and managed internal and external campaigns centered on change management and employee engagement. Earlier career experiences include roles as a Press Officer at Jisc, News Editor at Medavia, and Senior Reporter at Western Gazette Ltd, among others. Tom holds a Pg Dip in Newspaper Journalism from Cardiff University and a BA HONS in History from the University of Leeds.
