Blake Martin is a Defence Scientist at Defence Research and Development Canada, focusing on the effects of acute exercise on learning and retention, alongside assessing stress and workload through heart rate variability in simulation training environments. Additionally, Blake serves as a Contract Faculty member at York University, teaching courses related to Dance Kinesiology and the Care and Prevention of Dance Injuries, while also pursuing research into motor planning and limb coordination as part of a PhD in Kinesiology. Previous roles include Visiting Fellow at Defence Research and Development Canada, Senior Teacher at Lotus Palm Center, and Adjunct Professor at Tyndale University College. Blake holds a PhD and a Master of Arts in Dance Science from York University, along with a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance.
