Carolyn Chen is currently serving as a Defence Scientist at Defence Research and Development Canada since March 2021. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Engineer at Canada Border Services Agency from May 2019 to March 2021, and as a Physical Scientist at Natural Resources Canada for a brief period in early 2019. From January 2017 to December 2018, Carolyn held the position of Teaching Assistant at Carleton University, instructing on Geophysical Methods and Engineering Geoscience. Earlier, Carolyn was an Administrative Assistant with the Privy Council Office from July 2014 to December 2016, contributing to the Governor In Council Selection Processes Team. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Geophysics from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geological Engineering from Queen's University.
