Mamoon Rashid is a Defence Scientist with Defence Research and Development Canada since February 2017, specializing in the development and implementation of detection and estimation algorithms for space-based synthetic aperture radar (SAR). Prior to this role, Mamoon worked as a Software Engineer at MDA from 2012 to January 2017, focusing on creating software and tools for remote sensing and geographic information systems (GIS), as well as managing Linux-based computational resources for scientific computing challenges. Mamoon holds a Master's of Applied Science in Signal Processing from Carleton University (2012 - 2015) and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo (2005 - 2010).
