Nathalie Dion LL.B. has a diverse work experience in various government departments and organizations. Nathalie began their career in 2003 at Global Affairs Canada, where they held roles in the Political Section, as Deputy Liaison, and as a Senior Policy Officer. In 2008, they joined the Department of National Defence as a Special Advisor in the Executive Office - Strategic Policy. Nathalie then moved back to Global Affairs Canada in 2015 as a Senior Advisor in Peace Operations. In 2012, they worked at the Privy Council Office as a Senior Advisor in Counter-Terrorism Policy. From 2017 to 2022, they held roles at the Department of National Defence, serving as Deputy Director in Middle East, Deputy Director for NORAD and Continental Defense, and Deputy Director for UN Peacekeeping & Africa. In 2022, they joined the Canada School of Public Service as a Special Advisor to the Geopolitics and National Security Learning Programme. Nathalie is currently the Deputy Director of Science Integration at Defence Research and Development Canada.

Nathalie Dion LL.B. obtained their Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in Civil Law from Universite de Sherbrooke, where they studied from 1995 to 1998.
