Thayananthan Thayaparan

Thayananthan Thayaparan is a Defence Scientist at Defence R&D Canada since December 1997, specializing in radar signal and image processing, data analysis, and atmospheric dynamics, among other areas. With extensive experience in high-resolution radar technologies and project management, Thayananthan has also contributed as an Adjunct Professor at McMaster University from November 2010 to 2015, focusing on similar radar and atmospheric research. Prior to these roles, Thayananthan worked as a Post-doctoral Fellow at the University of Western Ontario, concentrating on atmospheric dynamics and radar signal processing. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Atmospheric Physics from Western University, a Master of Philosophy in Space Physics from the University of Oslo, and a Bachelor of Science in Physics Honours from the University of Jaffna.
