Daniel Moss

Senior Government Relations Representative at Defenders of Wildlife

Daniel Moss is a highly experienced professional in government relations, currently serving as the Senior Government Relations Representative at Defenders of Wildlife since January 2022. In this role, Daniel leads advocacy efforts on significant environmental issues, including the Marine Mammal Protection Act and the protection of critically endangered species such as the North Atlantic right whale and Rice’s whale, while also focusing on conservation initiatives related to private lands and the USDA Wildlife Services’ Nonlethal Initiative. Prior to this, Daniel worked at The Africa Adventure Company as a Safari Consultant, bringing a passion for safari consulting into a diverse career. Daniel's background includes roles such as Director of Government Relations at SOCMA, where advocacy focused on EPA and OMB, and experience as a Policy Analyst at Federal Funds Information for States, as well as a Legislative Associate at Stateside Associates. Daniel holds a B.A. in Political Science from Brown University.
