Barry J. Burton

Barry J. Burton is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in defense and engineering roles. Currently serving as Director of the Joint Reserve Program East at the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), Burton supports various subordinate commands as a senior reservist. Since July 2020, Burton has held dual roles as Senior General Engineer and Program Manager at the United States Air Force, focusing on managing the Title III program which ensures essential industrial resources for national defense. Prior positions include serving as IMA to the Director at the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, instructing AFROTC at Virginia Tech, and leading manufacturing technology initiatives at the Air Force Research Laboratory. With a Master’s degree in Engineering and Technology Management from Oklahoma State University and a Bachelor’s degree in General Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy, Burton combines a strong educational background with a commitment to enhancing national security and industrial capabilities.
